PD Days are fun!!

Today was such a super fun PD Day! We got back in touch with our colleagues and made connections with new friends. This sculpture project will be located in our city and points out that DC citizens votes need to count!!

After the potluck lunch we broke into 3 sessions: TAS/TLF, Blogging, and Color Theory. In assisting Miriam Cutelis at Murch Elementary in sharing her blog murchart.blogspot.com, we were able to define the purpose and benefit to blogging in our city and community of Art Teachers. This video of Simon Sinek shared by theartofed.com inspired me to define the purpose of my own blog. Art Teachers are sharing a bounty of information that is useful, yet there is still a slice of each blog that keeps them unique from others and it needs to be highlighted. It may take a while to figure out, but that is ok, figuring out how to blog takes a while too! Good luck to the DCPS Art Teachers getting started today, it was awesome!
