Elkins How to Use Your Eyes enhanced my observation skills to slow down to consider composition in a new way and break down the colors into small parts. I thought about the side view or slightly above compositions of Wayne Thiebauds cakes, lollipops and hotdogs. The birds eye view became interesting in that the flattening of color and condensed reflections of white and gold becoming shapes.
