Hearts for Haiti funds collected from this school-wide project were donated to the Restevek Foundation.  Each student made a Heart for Haiti to sell and we made paper hearts for ourselves to show we were united in our efforts to help their people.  Each grade was assigned a different heart base:  2nd-red felt, 3rd-wood hearts, 4th & 5th-aluminum.  This artsaysthat students are aware, will stop to help, want to show express empathy and make a difference to better someone else’s life.
